Night Light Parade 2025

This year's parade promises to be bigger and better.  

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13th at 6 p.m. 

Marshalling and judging at Dresden Area Central School at 5 p.m.

The theme for this year is 

"Christmas in Toyland"

About The Santa Claus Parade

Dear Participant:
The Dresden Kinsmen Club is pleased to announce its annual Dresden night light Santa Claus
parade. This year's parade will be held on Saturday evening December 13th, 2025 at 6 pm.

Marshaling and judging will be at Dresden Area Central School and begin at 5 pm. This year’s
theme is “Christmas in Toyland allowing a broad range of options for participants to explore
as we celebrate this joyous time of year.
We invite you and your organization to enter a float or special entry into the parade. Perhaps
you have a friend or another acquaintance who would also like to enter. Please share will any and all.
Float entries are the foundation of our community parade and help to demonstrate community pride
and involvement. The people who watch and enjoy this parade appreciate your participation.

If you do enter a float, please make sure it is decorated and if possible, follows the theme.

Pictures with Santa to follow at 

the Dresden Rotary Park Pavilion.

As in prior years, there will be prizes awarded as follows:
1) Best Commercial Float
2) Best Non-Commercial Float
3) Best use of lights

4) Spirit Award to the float for the best use of the parade theme

The parade will start at Dresden Area Central School and end at the Tiffin Memorial Pavilion on
St John St in the park. Following the parade, Santa Claus will be greeting children in the pavilion for
photos. The traditional Kinsmen candy bags will also be dispersed at this time and location.
To avoid confusion for the little ones, we please ask that you DO NOT include Santa in your
float. Santa will be on the kinsmen float at the end of the parade.
If you are unable to enter a float perhaps you could donate to the Santa Parade fund.  These donations are used to offset the cost of the parade, primarily the candy handed out to the children, which in past years has amounted to over 1000 bags annually.
